pairs

S uddenly its just me
O f course i understand
L ife is funny that way
I blinked my eyes and you moved on
T ime for me to move on
U nlock the cage
D ance again
E very thing becomes new again

everything comes in pairs
except me.

i dont mind
the solitude.

Wonderful acrostic. Reads like a lot of self-talk. Maybe that's something I should get better at...self-talk, self-affirmation.

So truthful. When I'm alone, it sure seems like everything comes in pairs.

But then when I'm paired up, seems sometimes that all the unpaired people are enjoying their solitude more than I'm enjoying my other half.

Perhaps the trick is just to be happy whether you are paired or unpaired, and not make the happiness contingent on the pairing or the solitude?
